Commentary From The WNU Team:

We would like to first thank President Bush and his administration for governing us this past 8 years. It has been a hard 8 years. Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, wars against Al Qaeda and its affiliates .... these conflicts have tested our will to fight and win.

But thanks to President Bush and to the men and women who wear the uniform of our police, intelligence, and military services, we have been safe since 9/11. More importantly .... President Obama now has the tools in place to continue protecting America when he assumes the power and responsibility of the office today.

President Obama's biggest challenges on the domestic scene will be the financial crisis, and a recession that if not administered properly can become a period of severe economic distress. On the foreign scene it will be terrorism, state sponsored terrorism, and the war in Afghanistan. These concerns and how he goes about confronting them can and will quickly define the type of Presidency he will be remembered for. If he fails .... it will be his legacy. If he succeeds, that will also be his legacy.

President Obama has made it a priority to focus on domestic issues. A point that we are in complete agreement with. But like President Bush when he assumed the office in 2001, events from outside of our country can quickly have a profound impact on our own soil ..... and we do not expect this to change anytime soon.

We at War News Updates want to wish the best for President Obama and his administration. He is our new war time President, and he will need our support and constructive criticism for the next four years. We can only imagine the challenges that he will be faced with , and we hope and pray that he will not disappoint the millions who have placed their trust into his hands.

War News Updates is just a blog that aggregates the news. This is not going to change in the next four years. We hope that our comments are always stimulating your interest in this blog .... and we want everyone to know that the comments that we receive are always appreciated.

We live in interesting times .... the next four years are probably going to prove this point more than once.
