Former Vice President Cheney Warns Of New Attacks

Vice President Dick Cheney. AP/FOX News

From The Politico:

Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed.

My Comment: When I hear people like former Vice President Cheney speak about terrorism and the threats that are directed at us, I always worry that he may know something that we do not know. In his interview with the Poltiico, he clearly outlines his concerns and worries on what he sees happening in President Obama's administration.

I hope that Vice President Cheney is wrong, and that his analysis is peppered with an eye to his own legacy and what historians will say about this period of American history. But Vice President Cheney has always been a man who has always been independent and unconcerned about public opinion when it came to certain issues that were very important to him. On terrorism and protecting America he has always been very resolute and strong on this issue.

Hmmmm .... my gut tells me that people should listen to him. His experience and understanding of the situation is probably the best among a very small elite of men and women who do have a clear cut understanding of what is happening "out there", what is the big strategic picture, and on what is at stake.
