Troops have overrun 13 "satellite camps" of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) group in Mindanao, the military said Tuesday.
The camps, all in the province of Maguindanao, fell "after a series of armed confrontations against the rogue MILF," regional army commander Major General Alfredo Cayton said in a statement.
Soldiers recovered a cache of weapons, including grenade launchers, mortars, grenades, shotguns and assault rifles in a week-long operation, he said.
