Joanna Lumley has revealed for the first time how she had to 'beg' Gordon Brown to allow the Gurkhas to stay in the country they risked their lives for.
Despite previously claiming that the Prime Minister was 'wholly supportive', she has told how she resorted to a personal offensive to claim victory for the Nepalese soldiers.
Comments to be aired on tonight's Friday Night with Jonathan Ross give an insight into the battle between Mr Brown and the former actress.

My Comment: I cannot help but feel that a double standard is being played out. If you are a member of the Gurkhas who served Britain with distinction and honor .... you have to basically beg to stay. If you are an Islamic fundamentalist who is in Britain illegally .... who preaches hate and organizes terror camps (and receives welfare benefits) .... you can stay.
