President Obama should be happy about what the Sri Lankan army is doing. They are showing that the terrorists can be defeated. Whatever said and done, one has to understand that LTTE at one time was far more superior (man power, weaponry, money) than any of the other Terrorist organisations in the world including Taliban. And with all the military strength, intelligence, man power, etc etc, USA and the allies have failed to destroy the Taliban. Even though, US forces have KILLED higher number of civilians in less than 10 years than the SL army has done in 25 years of fighting.
The best option Mr. President, supply the SL Army with precision missile capability to attack the LTTE terrorists without affecting the civilians. Once the LTTE is finished, get the help of SL army(Strategy, intelligence gathering, etc) to win against the Taliban. Use this to your advantage, without giving the LTTE another chance to recover...
