AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSe/GETTY IMAGES President Obama meets with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in the Oval Office on Thursday as part of the administration's push for a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians. Mr. Abbas told reporters he is "fully committed" to the peace process.

If President Obama is serious about tackling the ever-elusive goal of achieving peace in the Middle East, he should start his efforts not with prodding Israel or the Palestinians, but rather a little closer to home -- Foggy Bottom.
Through either deliberate neglect or simple ineptitude, the State Department has made U.S. taxpayers complicit in perpetuating the single greatest impediment to Middle East peace: an increasingly radical Palestinian society that despises Israel and embraces terrorism.

My Comment: The focus is on the West Bank .... but where the eyes should be really focused on is Gaza and the UN agencies that operate there. According to my sources, Hamas and the UN agencies that function in Gaza are one and the same.
