North Korea Chemical Weapons Threaten Region: Report

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea has several thousand tonnes of chemical weapons it can mount on missiles that could be used on a rapid strike against the South, said a report released on Thursday by the International Crisis Group (ICG).

North Korea in recent weeks has raised tensions in North Asia, responsible for one-sixth of the global economy, with missile launches, threats to attack the South and a May 25 nuclear test that led to U.N. sanctions.

My Comment: In the event that North Korea starts to use chemical/biological weapons against South Korean cities, would this result in South Korea and the U.S. escalating to the use of their own WMDs .... I doubt it. But in the event that North Korea does use WMDs, it will then make it impossible for any accommodation to be done with the Communist regime in the North and its leaders. It will be a war to the finish.

In the event that North Korea launches WMDs against Japan .... I will then expect the use of WMDs from the U.S. Japan is America's most important ally in the Far East .... any attack against them will be interpreted as an attack against us.
