Gates to Discuss Military Relations with Israeli, Jordanian Leaders -- U.S. Department of Defense
WASHINGTON, July 25, 2009 – Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates begins a trip to the Middle East tomorrow with stops in Israel and Jordan.
The secretary will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barack in Jerusalem, Defense officials said. He will then travel to Amman for meetings with King Abdullah and Jordanian ministry of defense officials.

My Comment: Many in the Middle East are speculating that this is a hastily assembled meeting that was put together to stop Israel from executing any attack on Iran's nuclear infrastructure. The Iranians definitely believe that this is the case.
Unfortunately .... we do not really know. These meetings are behind closed doors .... cameras and microphones not invited.
