McChrystal Assessment Paints Dire Picture of Afghan War -- Wall Street Journal

WASHINGTON -- Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, told the Obama administration last month that the situation in the country is "deteriorating" and that without additional resources, the U.S.-led coalition could lose the war.

The conclusions, contained in a 66-page assessment, were first reported on the web site of the Washington Post Sunday night and confirmed by a senior administration official.

I don’t know, can he say no to General McChrystal? If he needs to say no, I hope he does, but if he says yes, I hope he does what he needs to for the continued protection of our country and the USA.

I personally think Obama wants to say no .... and is looking for ways to say no .... but the situation in Afghanistan is dire, and the political costs to say no is what is stopping him from refusing this troop request.
