My Comment: Long time readers of this blog know that I have always had an intense interest in robots, the computers behind them, and how they can be applied to the battlefield. In fact, I am responsible for editing a blog that is dedicated to artificial intelligence, super computers, and robots. That blog is here.

In reference to the above Defense Tech post, I will be willing to go one step further than Peter Singer. I predict that in 25 years we will have on the battlefield weapon systems that are operated and controlled by AI (Artificial Intelligence) systems. While human operators will still be responsible for command and control, AI systems will have independent control over their systems in hot zones and areas of combat. Think of the weapon systems in the Terminator movies .... but not so advanced.
