Vice President Biden Makes Surprise Visit To Baghdad -- L.A. Times

Biden is to meet with U.S. troops and Iraqi leaders, including President Talabani and Prime Minister Maliki. It is his third visit to Iraq this year.

Reporting from Washington - Vice President Joe Biden made a surprise landing in Baghdad today to meet with Iraqi leaders and U.S. troops.

A military C-17 transport carrying the vice president landed at Baghdad International Airport at 4:20 p.m. local time, according to a pool report from a reporter traveling with Biden.
