SEOUL, S.Korea - South Korea knows of about 100 sites linked to North Korea's nuclear programme and has the capacity to strike them if an attack from the North is imminent, the defence minister said Monday.

"There are about 100 sites related to the nuclear' programme, Kim Tae-Young told legislators during a parliamentary audit of his ministry's work.

"We have a complete list of them," Yonhap news agency quoted him as saying.

My Comment: I am sure that the South Korean Government has a very good idea on what is happening in North Korea .... including it nuclear sites. But what is noteworthy about this article is that it gives a figure for the first time on how many nuclear sites exist in North Korea.

100 is a lot of sites, and is a reflection of the money and resources that North Korea has committed for this program.

But on a side note .... if North Korea has approximately 100 sites that are doing nuclear related work .... one can only imagine how many Iran has.
