UN Inspectors Enter Iran's Qom Nuclear Facility -- The Telegraph

United Nations inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency have entered Iran's newly disclosed nuclear facility near the holy city of Qom for the first time.

A team of monitors arrived in Iran on Sunday amid growing signs that the country is preparing to defy Western demands to ship much of its uranium to Russia for further processing.

Seeking to test the mettle of President Barack Obama, Iran has already ignored a Friday deadline to respond to a UN proposal that the US president hoped would pave the way for a negotiated settlement to the impasse over Tehran's nuclear programme.
