Behind Afghanistan’s Deadly Helo Crash -- The Danger Room

More details are coming in about Monday’s deadly helicopter crash in Afghanistan which killed seven American troops and three DEA agents.

U.S. military authorities have determined that a combination of thick dust and nighttime operations in western Badgis province triggered the crash of the MH-47, a special operations-version of the widely-used Chinook helo.
