Twin Blasts Hit Islamabad As Pakistan Continues Waziristan Offensive -- Christian Science Monitor

Two were killed and 20 injured in the attacks at an Islamic university. They follow a rise in assaults that may be in retaliation for the Army's offensive in the Taliban stronghold of South Waziristan.

Twin suicide blasts rocked a university in Islamabad Tuesday as Pakistan said it had surrounded a key militant stronghold on the fourth day of its offensive in South Waziristan.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombings, which killed at least two people and wounded 20 more, reports the Associated Press. They follow a series of major assaults that may be in retaliation for Pakistan's push to conquer the Taliban and Al Qaeda stronghold, where it says it has already killed nearly 80 militants.
