Jihadist Death Threatened Libyan Peace Deal -- CNN
Tripoli, Libya (CNN) -- The long and intricate peace negotiations between the Libyan government and a radical Islamist group were nearly derailed by the sudden death in a Tripoli prison of a prominent Libyan Jihadist, Libyan sources revealed to CNN.
As the negotiations entered a critical phase early this year, Ibn Sheikh al Libi was found dead in his cell at the top security Abu Salim prison in Tripoli.

My Comment: It seems that these Libyan Jihadists were given a choice .... silver or lead. Since most people prefer to live ... silver it was.
Will this arrangement hold between the Libyan Government and former Jihadists .... I guess we will know only in the next few years. But from the outside looking it, it appears that the Libyan Government has been successful in buying off the peace of men who were originally dedicated to its overthrow.
