Bryon Pitts Reports On The Dangerous Mission of Clearing IEDs in Afghanistan.
(CBS) Last month was the most lethal yet for American forces in Afghanistan.
And most of the Americans were killed by the deadliest weapon in the enemy's arsenal: the roadside bomb, or IED, an improvised explosive device.
IEDs killed more than 40 American and coalition forces in October alone, up from five two years ago.
In response, the U.S. military has gone on the offensive.

My Comment: No one can ever pay me enough to be responsible for clearing IEDs, a job which is probably the worse that anyone can have on this planet .... but one in which if not done will result in the loss of countless of lives.

i agree the braves do it to save lives the best to you all,could the airforce do that dangerous job with some powerful laser that would burn up the ground and those bombs where they are would explode as the the laser pass on it? if not some brith brains of our owns best could get together and create an gadget to do the job,we must do it as the effort of winnig this war,thank you.
