Poll Result: What Defense Policy Issues Are Important?


From The Department Of Defense:

Treating our combat disabled veterans better. Our severely disabled combat veterans are paid very little. They are also not given the real retirement pay that they are due after being forced to retire.. 86.1%

Protecting American citizens within the United States from outside threats. Maintaining a strong military with: retention bonuses, higher pay and improved benefits. Increasing the Defense budget for weapons development. 82.4%

As the war(s)toll grows,horrendous stories of a lack of medical care for returning wounded soldiers have also grown.American Fighting Soldiers deserve the BEST medical care,respect and Honor. 81.1%

better manage long deployments, repeat deployments. allow units to rotate every six months? spend a year in the USA in between? 79.2%

My Comment: The duty of a soldier is to protect those who cannot protect themselves. With this mindset, it is no surprise that the taking care of veterans is the number one issue that was polled for all who serve (or have served) the military.
