Administration Lowers Bar for Success in Afghanistan War, Seeks Exit Strategy -- FOX News

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the administration has 'no illusions' about the Afghanistan war. Officials say the administration wants to make sure the U.S. commitment in the country is not 'open-ended' as the president drafts a new strategy.

Top Obama administration officials took pains to lower the bar for success in Afghanistan Sunday, stressing that the administration is seeking an exit strategy and holds "no illusions" that it will transform the country into a functional modern democracy.

My Comment: The administration does not hide their intentions anymore .... their priority is to set the conditions for an exit strategy. The Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies also see the same news reports that we do .... and I am sure that they are now smelling victory.

Our Afghan and NATO allies are now going to take stock of this situation and will start to lay the groundwork for their own exit from Afghanistan. Saying that this has the markings for an incredible geopolitical disaster that will impact us for decades to come will be understating the obvious.
