Did The U.S. Kidnap An Iranian Nuclear Scientist?

U.S., Saudis Kidnapped A Nuclear Scientist, Iran's Foreign Minister Charges -- L.A. Times

Iran also accused the U.S. and Israel of a 2006 kidnapping. In that and the latest incident, there are suspicions the missing men in fact defected to the West.

Reporting from Beirut - Iran's top diplomat accused the United States and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday of having kidnapped one of its nuclear scientists.

Foreign Affairs Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters that Shahram Amiri, who worked for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, had disappeared during a summer religious pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. He said Tehran had evidence the U.S. was involved in the alleged abduction.

My Comment: If true .... it would make a mockery of President Obama's commitment to no longer conduct renditions and/or forcible extradition to 3rd world countries of suspects and/or terrorists.

But as to what is really the truth .... your guess is as good as mine.
