From Threat Level:An Israeli-American lawyer who worked as an FBI linguist pleaded guilty Thursday to providing an unidentified blogger with classified documents derived from U.S. communications intelligence.
Shamai Kedem Leibowitz, 39, of Silver Spring, Maryland, pleaded to one felony count of disclosing to an unauthorized party five documents that were classified “secret” that he obtained through his work with the FBI.
Leibowitz leaked the documents to the unnamed blogger in April 2009. The blogger — identified as “Recipient A” in court filings — then wrote a post based on the classified documents.

My Comment: Will the blogger also be prosecuted?
In the years that I have been writing this blog, I have received correspondence that should not be published .... and I did not publish it. For example .... in one case I received information that would jeopardize U.S. and coalition lives in Iraq (I received knowledge on circumventing U.S. IED/cell phone jamming techniques) .... and being a person who likes to sleep well at night I did not publish it. Others though did .... and they were never prosecuted.
20 months for leaking U.S. intelligence. Hmmmm .... Shamai Kedem Leibowitz has gotten off light.
