U.S. House Approves $636 Billion Military Budget

House Approves $636 Billion Pentagon Budget Bill -- Wall Street Journal

House lawmakers approved a $636 billion bill to fund the Pentagon through the remaining 10 months of fiscal 2010, completing the last piece of must-pass spending business that had to be finished before the end of the year.

The House vote was 395-34.

The legislation includes several short-term extensions of federal government programs, setting up another round of tough issues for lawmakers to deal with in February.
