Exclusive: White House Aides Insisted F-22 Be Removed From Obama Speech Venue -- The Cable/Foreign Policy
When President Obama spoke to troops at Alaska's Elmendorf Air Force Base last month, the unit there parked a shiny new F-22 fighter plane in the hanger. But according to multiple sources, White House aides demanded the plane be changed to an older F-15 fighter because they didn't want Obama speaking in front of the F-22, a controversial program he fought hard to end.

My Comment: I had to read this story twice to believe what I was reading. I am sure that the reason why the F-22 was put there was for the simple reason that it was a shiny new F-22, and the airmen were proud to show it .... nothing less and nothing more.
Washington politics being Washington politics .... what was to be an exciting moment for the Air Force personnel became a WTF moment when the handlers got involved. This is another story that is going to make the rounds among thousands of military personnel who are convinced that their President is an elitist .... nothing less and nothing more.
