Inside Yemen: A Country In Crisis -- BBC

US President Barack Obama has described Yemen as a country in which al Qaeda could establish a stronghold.

American concerns about Yemen's instability have made Washington reluctant to send the 94 Yemenis still held in Guantanamo back to their home country.

But as Owen Bennett-Jones reports, al-Qaeda is only one of many security problems facing the country.

My Comment: There has been some reports that U.S. fighter jets are operating in the region, and they have been targeting rebel positions in the north of the country. These reports are mainly from Iranian sources, and have not been verified by other sources .... but we will still watch these developments closely.
