France accused the US of "occupying" Haiti on Monday as thousands of American troops flooded into the country to take charge of aid efforts and security.
The French minister in charge of humanitarian relief called on the UN to "clarify" the American role amid claims the military build up was hampering aid efforts.
Alain Joyandet admitted he had been involved in a scuffle with a US commander in the airport's control tower over the flight plan for a French evacuation flight.

My Comment: Tens of thousands dead. Tens of thousands who will now die from their injuries, disease, and hunger. The infrastructure and social network has completely collapsed. Violence and riots happening sporadically .... maybe country wide in the next few days .... and this is what passes by for debate and discussion between the aid donors and relief groups?
Sighhhh .... this is a picture of mankind acting in a manner that only the devil would approve.
Update: At least some are now downplaying this diplomatic/political scuffle.
