Europe's law chief wants Britain to reinstate the payment of tens of thousands of pounds in State handouts to the wives of suspected Al Qaeda and Taliban fanatics.

Ministers have halted benefit payouts made to the families of suspected terrorists to prevent the money falling into the hands of banned groups.

The Treasury says the power is a vital weapon in the war against terrorism. It stems from a crackdown on terrorist financing launched in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.

My Comment: The British Government's outrage is a stretch because it was this government that pushed for membership in the EU and to be governed by its laws. Having said that .... I am sure that these monies can be administered and monitored by the government so that it would not be sent to their husbands and their terror organizations. As for the British taxpayer .... I share in their outrage that they must support such losers .... but heh .... a majority of them gave these politicians the mandate to govern.
