Joe Biden Update: Iraq One Of Obama's 'Great Achievements' -- The L.A. Times
Who knew?
Thank goodness, Vice President Joe Biden went on CNN to chat with Larry King Wednesday night. So many think things are not going so well for the Democrat administration, as The Ticket chronicled here.
Many Americans recall the ex-Sen. Biden's Democratic primary plans to give in to Iraq's fractious factions and carve the country into three territories. And even more probably recall Biden's boss' plan to halt the Iraq war years ago. As long as it got started anyway without the permission of the then state senator.
My Comment: For the first time in a long time I watched Larry King Live yesterday .... and I caught VP Biden as the guest. I clicked at the moment that he was claiming credit for success in Iraq .... cough, cough ..... I started to choke when I heard that. But he is what he is, a politician in front of a camera who hopes that the audience would forget all of his comments and actions in the past .... especially in regards to Iraq.
Having Larry King as the questioner was a guarantee that no tough questions or rebuttals would be brought forward, and as a result we now have a slight revision in history .... Iraq is a success story because of the leadership of this White House and its President.
Iraq still has a long way to become a success story, but if it does become successful it is because of the blood and treasure shed by our soldiers, our allies, and by those Iraqis who want a just and stable Iraq .... not because of Vice President Biden and the administration that he represents.
