My Comment: It seems that war and conflict is deep in our DNA .... it is our nature. Fortunately, most of us have the ability to inhibit it when our nature tells us to be aggressive and /or violent.
What is probably helping this evolution is (over time) the development and implementation of new weapon systems and platforms that makes killing other human beings easier. The ability to destroy one another on a planetary scale is a great inhibitor .... but will this translate into lesser aggression on a lower level .... hmmmm .... only time will answer this question.
