Army Investigates Alleged Attempt by Soldiers to Poison Food at Fort Jackson -- FOX News

The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.

The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, "there is no credible information to support the allegations."

My Comment: If true, the ramifications would be explosive. Fortunately .... the following Army Times news release puts to bed (so far) that there is no truth to these allegations .....

However, there is no credible evidence to support the allegations, said Patrick Jones, a spokesman for Fort Jackson.

“Allegations were made and the command took it very seriously,” Jones said, adding that Army Criminal Investigation Command was conducting the investigation, which is still ongoing.

“Two months of investigation, there has been no credible evidence to support the allegations,” Jones said.

Information control from the Army? Why is the investigation continuing if there is no credible evidence? Why would the investigation continue for two months with no credible evidence?

Something is wrong here. We're being spun.

Thank you Solomon for your comment.

I hope there is no truth to the allegations .... but if true the consequences will be explosive politically and to the morale of the Army.

The main stream media is now on the case (this story is too big to be kept under wraps) .... I expect more information in the next few days if not sooner.
