DOD Planners Are The Most Dangerous Threat To U.S. Security -- ELP Defens(c)e Blog

In order to see one possibility for the U.S. military in the 2020’s one only has to look at the U.K.

There will be a time in the coming years were the U.S. leadership will tire of Afghanistan and really any other war of that type that requires billions for no return in U.S. defense security.

What we have are a number of OK and ailing programs to represent new military equipment. “OK” being things like a Burke class destroyer or C-130J and ailing being things like the F-35 and Littoral Combat Gyp.

My Comment: I always tell people that the greatest danger to America's economic and financial security will not come from the Chinese with their dollar holdings, or the Arabs and their oil, or Russia, or Latin America, etc. .... nope .... the greatest threat to US economic and financial security will come from Washington D.C..

This is why Eric Palmer at Defens(c)e Blog makes a point which I should have made a long time ago .... DoD planners may be the greatest threat to US security. The only difference that I have with this assertion is that I would make a more generic statement and lump all of Washington D.C. into this pile.

Update: Upon reflection .... DoD planners are the greatest threat our security.
