Washington Post: White House to Assume Greater Role in Debate About Where to Prosecute Khalid Sheik Mohammed.

President Obama is planning to insert himself into the debate about where to try the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, three administration officials said Thursday, signaling a recognition that the administration had mishandled the process and triggered a political backlash.

I would seem that our president yields to waves of criticism and rather than standing firm on a position modifies what has previously
said. This is not a good trait in a leader. An opponent quickly figuring this outwill make demands, noise, and assume the other side will yield. President Obama and his staff followed the precedent of Pres. Bush and that president had public trials, with sentences that took care of the guilty and long sentences.

I don't care if the trial is a military or a public one, but I do begin to worry about the process used to determine which method to employ.

The GOP has been very critical of the Obama choice, and yet the shoe bomber (Reid) was convicted at a public trial and the Republicans had no objections to that venue.
