US Legislation To Ban "Don't Ask Don't Tell" To Be Tabled Next Week
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) will introduce a bill next week to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," adding a respected independent voice to the movement to overturn the policy that prohibits gays from serving in the military.
Lieberman, who caucuses with Democrats but tends to take more conservative stands on prominent issues, plans to be a chief supporter of what could be the most socially progressive legislation to come through this Congress. The news was first reported by the New York Daily News.

My Comment: Publicly the military brass support the repeal .... privately I am hearing the complete opposite. I predict that the repeal will pass, but the political/military consequences are going to be long lasting.
