Intelligence Chief Acknowledges U.S. May Target Americans Involved In Terrorism -- Washington Post

My Comment: If this was said under the Bush administration .... the outcry will be deafening with calls for investigations and criminal indictments be levied ASAP.
But .... different administration .... different reaction.
Expect this story to now be buried until someone like U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Aulaqi is found and killed by a US drone strike .... which will then be classified as collateral damage.

Either it is a good thing (right, moral) or it is not. Why turn this too into a political piece of nonsense? We know that under Bush domestic spying took place. It is also taking place at present. OK?
Thank you Fred for your comment.
I was commenting on how the media responds to certain aspects of the news. From where I am standing, I see a gross double standard.
As to "domestic spying" .... when I made my comment the was the farthest thing from my mind for the simple reason that it has no relevance to the discussion. My focus is on certain known CIA operations abroad .... in particular the US Government willing to sanction the killing of a US citizen. This is an important policy decision that deserves far more discussion than what is happening.
