My Comment: I found Time Magazine's portrayal of Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul interesting .... to begin, he did not join the Taliban with fervor because of Gitmo .... he was already a committed Islamic extremist before his capture, detention, and subsequent release.
Unfortunately, his release and promotion within the Taliban has now resulted in the deaths of untold numbers of Afghans and US servicemen .... and the tally is still climbing.
Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef is also an interesting character .... but he has given up on the fight .... a position that will probably guarantee him a longer and better life than his former comrade in arms .... Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul.
