Heavy Metal Music And The Taliban Do Not Mix

US Special Forces Use Heavy Metal Music To Fight Taliban -- The Telegraph

US special forces have a novel weapon in the fight to expel Taliban from a desolate and war-weary farming community in southern Afghanistan – heavy metal music.

When insurgents open fire in Marjah, an armoured vehicle wired up to powerful speakers blasts out country, heavy metal and rock music so loudly it can be heard up to a mile away.

The playlist has been hand-selected to "---- off the Taliban", according to one US special forces officer.

My Comment: My head is just bursting at the seams thinking about this. Yes .... I am not a heavy metal fan, and if I was there I would be calling myself a victim of friendly fire.

Crazy somehow that i listen to Metallica so often voluntarily.

Maybe the special forces think Metallica is worse than let's say Miley Cyrus or The Jonas Brothers?
