My Comment: At least both men are honest in their observations and opinions when it comes to Iran .... and it only confirms what many pundits have been saying for a long time .... i.e. the White House lacks a strategic and comprehensive policy when it comes to Iran.

It is getting a bit annoying for me to read over and over about how we do not have a policy toward Iran etc., and so I would ask those who assert this, WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST WE DO if you were commander in chief? Bomb them this week? Invade them this week?
Please advise.

You make an excellent point .... what should we do?
Fortunately .... I am not the President of the United States. Nor am I privy to any intelligence, diplomatic efforts, or strategy sessions on what should be done.
The man who was elected and given a mandate to proceed on issues like Iran is President Obama .... and it is he (who in the end) must provide the leadership and foresight on what must be done.
What concerns me is that officials like Gates and Mullen are revealing that a comprehensive strategy is lacking .... and are concerned that the White House is not sensitive to what they perceive is a strategic threat to the Middle East and U.S. interests in the region.
I personally hope that they are wrong .... but I guess only time will tell us on where we are going on this issue.
