Gates: Focus On Overhead, But Weapon Cuts Still Possible - -Defense News

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said May 20 cuts to major weapon programs are possible as the Pentagon continues building its fiscal 2012 budget plan.

While Gates reiterated his belt-tightening efforts are focused on trimming Pentagon overhead and shifting those funds to things like modernization programs, he said some program cuts are still on the table.
