Thailand Issues Three-Day Curfew As 13,000 Protesters Rally In Provinces -- The Telegraph

Thailand has issued a three-day curfew in an attempt to stop violence spreading from Bangkok to the provinces after 13,000 protesters rallied across rural areas setting fire to government halls.

The army yesterday rounded up opposition agitators who were driven out of a city centre stronghold after a two-month siege.

The smouldering ruins of the shopping arcades and streets occupied by the opposition Red Shirt movement was the focus of a clean-up operation involving thousands of troops and municipal workers.
