My Comment: I know that General Petraeus is probably the best of the best in his position .... but my money is still on the Taliban. The reason why is not because of their (the Taliban's) military strategy, it is because they understand the political dynamics that are in play in Washington. Like Vietnam, the other side always knew that our military was unbeatable .... our weakness has always been in Washington and its lack of will to fight a prolonged war. Coupled with an impatient American electorate that has been conditioned for quick results .... from my vantage point I can easily see all the pieces in play for the eventual withdrawal of our forces and the eventual defeat of our allies in Afghanistan.
