Agents Feared Mexican Drug Cartel Attack On Border Dam -- Houston Chronicle

My Comment: Strategically, business wise, and politically .... if the drug cartels wanted to "piss-off" the U.S. in every way possible .... such a stunt would have accomplished a blowback that would have prioritized U.S. focus on using everything in their disposal to destroy Mexico's drug gangs .... whether Mexico would have agreed to it or not.

The dam was not blown up because .... regardless of how stupid some members in these gangs may be .... there are others who believe that their survival is more important than making a statement. A small consolation as Mexico's drug cartel war continues and the body count rises.
