Disaster In Kyrgyzstan. Widespread Ethnic Cleansing Occuring



Armed Ethnic Clashes Rage In Kyrgyzstan -- CNN

(CNN) -- Nearly 100 people have been killed in ethnic violence in Kyrgyzstan, and more than 700 hospitalized, the government said Sunday.

According to one report, the numbers were much higher. Local officials in Osh, the city worst affected by the violence, said at least 500 ethnic Uzbeks had been killed, according to Ferghana.Ru, an independent news agency.

The health ministry put the toll at 97 dead and 727 hospitalized, mostly in Osh.
