My Comment: With the war in Afghanistan approaching casualty rates that equals the worse that occurred in Iraq, continuing high unemployment, the end of the U.S. oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico (after what has happened to BP no one is going to invest on the U.S. side of the Gulf), the strong probability of higher gas prices coupled with enormous tax increases projected for next year .... throw in trillion dollar deficits, an unstable world order, and the usual corruption that plagues every administration .... yup .... the U.S. public are mad now .... but they are going to be furious next year.
As to what is my take .... elections have consequences, and President Obama was given a clear mandate to pursue his agenda until 2012. Opinion polls are just a snapshot of what is the mood today .... tomorrow .... that is another day.
