My Comment: I suspect that this positioning of naval assets is for the boarding and inspecting of ships that are coming from and/or going to Iran. Since Iran has already threatened to retaliate in the event that any of their ships are inspected, this repositioning of U.S. navy assets should not be a surprised.

The big question that needs to be answered is .... in the event that ships from Iran are boarded by U.S. forces for inspection .... will Iran retaliate militarily using their forces in the Persian Gulf .... or will they use their proxies in Hamas and Hezbolah.
