U.S. Military Intelligence To Focus On Afghan Corruption

My Comment: Yup .... the Western sense and perception of how business should be conducted and managed is about to collide with Afghan business culture and practice. I pity the men and women who are going to be responsible for this work.

Anyone who has had any experience in dealing with foreign countries knows that every country has a business culture that many of us in the West would frown upon. In this part of the world, I have had business experience in dealing with Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, and Indian business interests .... gifts and benefits are part of the culture .... and no one from the West is going to change that .... including Afghanistan's.

The only thing that I find annoying about this report and that makes me "pissed-off", is that I am only too well aware that it is our money that is being flushed down the drain in this hopeless endeavor of bringing our model of society into Afghanistan .... and it is the warlords and the Taliban who are benefiting from it.
