US Calls For UK-Argentine Talks Over Falklands Sovereignty To Re-Open -- The Telegraph

The US has joined Latin American countries in demanding fresh talks between Britain and Argentina over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands at a regional summit.

The Foreign Office on Wednesday dismissed the latest blow delivered by officials appointed by President Barack Obama as a symbolic manoeuvre of little practical consequence.

A resolution unanimously passed by voice vote by the Organisation of American States (OAS) on Wednesday proclaimed the "need" for UK and Argentinian talks over who owns the Falklands.

What a shame that the United States is about to lose its "closest friend and ally". Next move is UK withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Then followed by closure of all American bases/facilities on British territory.
Say goodbye to Ascension Island, Diego Garcia, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Fylingdales. Last will leave a big hole in the Yank early warning system, but do we care.
