The youthful features and slight frame are those of a boy.

But Private Anton 'Ando' Anderson knows that, along with the gun in his hand, he carries the responsibilities of a man on his shoulders.

Just a month after his 18th birthday, he was sent to Afghanistan as a casualty replacement - and then volunteered to stay on.

My Comment: He looks very young, but among the Taliban there have been children as young as 8 who have been injured and/or killed in firefights with Allied/Afghan soldiers.
