Sweden To Probe WikiLeaks Charges -- Wall Street Journal
STOCKHOLM—Swedish Chief Prosecutor Eva Finne will investigate the charges brought against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange this week, she said Monday.
On Friday, the prosecution authority charged Mr. Assange with alleged rape and molestation, but dropped the rape charges the following day. It said it would decide this week whether to pursue the molestation case. The two cases originated in different areas of Sweden.
Mr. Assange denied any wrongdoing, saying that critics of his organization would attempt to use the accusations to damage its reputation.
