Kenyans Approved New Constitution In Referendum, Early Results Indicate -- Bloomberg
Kenyans probably approved a new constitution in a referendum today, according to initial results from the country’s Interim Independent Electoral Commission.
The constitution was accepted by almost 3 million voters, or 66 percent of 4.5 million votes that have been counted, according to initial commission data broadcast by NTV, an independent television station based in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. The country has about 12.7 million registered voters.
