The WikiLeaks affair has dropped quickly from the global news agenda. But the fallout continues in ways which don’t receive much attention.

Last weekend, an Afghan friend who lives in Kabul was in Dubai for a short break to get away from the Taliban death threats which he has been receiving regularly ever since the leaked war logs revealed some of the projects he was working on with the US military.

My Comment: There are still many who believe that Wikileaks has not disclosed any information to the Taliban, unfortunately .... if anyone takes the time to browse the Wikileaks website, names of informers and their locations in Afghanistan are published are numerous occasions.

The sad consequence of the Wikileaks disclosure is that the Taliban now have a very good idea on who to target for threats and assassination in Afghanistan .... and target and kill is something that they will do. Wikileaks and their supporters may deny all they want .... but there is blood on their hands.
