Conflict Stirs In Dagestan -- UPI

MAKHACHKALA, Russia, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- The driver of a deputy official in the North Caucasus republic of Dagestan had his throat cut after his boss went missing, a security source said.

The driver for a border chief in Dagestan was found dead last weekend. His boss was reported missing and authorities are on the lookout for his vehicle and government-issued firearms, sources told Russia's state-run news agency RIA Novosti.
